Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pareto Alpha Inference LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Pareto Alpha,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), handles personal information in connection with the Service. “Service” has the meaning given in our Terms of Service, available at paretoalphainference.com/terms (the “Terms”), and includes our AI model inference services, made available through third-party platforms, marketplaces, or other channels that we authorize (each, an “Authorized Channel”), and our website at paretoalphainference.com (the “Website”). Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms. “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual, and includes “personal data” under applicable law.
Except as expressly described below, this Privacy Policy does not address our practices relating to job applicants or employees, or information that is not subject to applicable data protection laws (such as de-identified or aggregated information). It is not a contract and does not create legal rights or obligations not otherwise provided by law.
1. Summary
Pareto Alpha provides compute. We run open-weight AI models on hardware that we own and operate, and we return Output in response to Inputs routed to us by Authorized Channels. We have designed the Service to handle as little personal information as possible:
-
We do not offer accounts. All traffic reaches us through an Authorized Channel. We do not have a direct relationship with you and do not collect your name, email address, payment information, or account information.
-
We limit retention of Inputs and Outputs. We process and retain them only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, evaluate, and improve the Service, and may retain information derived from them in aggregated or de-identified form. See Section 3.
-
We retain only aggregated traffic statistics that do not identify, and cannot reasonably be linked to, any individual. See Section 4.
-
We do not market to you, and we do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
2. Authorized Channels and Our Role
The Service is made available only through Authorized Channels, currently including the platform operated by OpenRouter, Inc. at openrouter.ai (“OpenRouter”). Your account, billing, and other relationship is with the Authorized Channel operator, not with us. The Authorized Channel operator collects and controls information such as your name, email address, credentials, payment information, IP address, and account-level usage history, under its own privacy policy (for OpenRouter, https://openrouter.ai/privacy). We do not receive that information.
When we process Inputs and Output, we act as a service provider or processor on behalf of the Authorized Channel operator and, through it, the User or Organization that submitted the request, and we act only on their instructions as reflected in the Terms and our agreements with Authorized Channel operators. We act as a “business” or “controller” only with respect to the limited information described in Section 5.
3. Inputs and Output
Inputs are the prompts, messages, files, and other content submitted to the Service; Output is the content the Service generates in response. Inputs may contain personal information that you or others include, which we do not control. Under the Terms you are responsible for having all rights and consents required to submit your Inputs.
Consistent with Section 3.3 of the Terms, we process Inputs and Output only as reasonably necessary to perform the requested inference, return the Output to the Authorized Channel from which the request came, provide, maintain, secure, evaluate and improve, and comply with Applicable Law. Specifically:
-
We do not retain Inputs or Output longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Processing may involve temporary storage or caching of Inputs, Output, or information derived from them, including to support performance and functionality. We delete or de-identify such information when it is no longer reasonably necessary, subject to applicable legal requirements and technical limitations.
-
We do not use Inputs or Output in identifiable form to train or fine-tune models. We may use information derived from Inputs or Output in aggregated or de-identified form for evaluation, benchmarking, analytics, security, product development, and improvement of the Service.
-
Inputs are processed on hardware that we own and operate. We do not transmit Inputs or Output to the developer of any model made available through the Service or to any other third party, except to service providers that process them on our behalf to operate and secure the Service or to return Output through the Authorized Channel.
-
Our personnel do not access or review Inputs or Output.
Because we do not maintain accounts and may delete or de-identify Inputs and Output as described above, we may be unable to access, retrieve, correct, export, or delete them in response to a request, and we generally have no means of associating retained aggregated or de-identified information any request with a particular individual. Requests relating to content you submitted should be directed to the Authorized Channel operator or the Organization through which you accessed the Service.
4. Aggregated Traffic Statistics
We retain aggregated or de-identified statistical information about traffic across the Service (“Aggregated Statistics”), such as the volume and distribution of requests over time, the number of concurrent users or sessions, the distribution of request and response lengths (token counts), the number of tool calls per request, the number of turns per session and session duration (including as relevant to prefill and caching), and performance metrics such as latency, throughput, and error rates. Aggregated Statistics may include information derived from processing Inputs or Output, but do not include Inputs or Outputs in a form that identifies, or is reasonably linkable to, any individual, device, account, session, or request.
We use Aggregated Statistics to operate, secure, and improve the Service, plan capacity, measure performance and reliability, and for business planning and analytics. Aggregated Statistics are Usage Data under the Terms, and we may use and disclose them for any lawful purpose, including sharing them with Authorized Channel operators and other third parties, in each case only in aggregated or de-identified form. We do not attempt to re-identify Aggregated Statistics and contractually prohibit recipients from doing so.
5. Limited Information We Collect Directly
If you contact us. You do not need to provide us with any personal information to use the Service. If you choose to contact us (for example, to ask a question, report a security issue under the Terms, exercise your privacy rights, or opt out of the arbitration agreement in the Terms – which requires your full legal name)we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message (“Communications Information”). We use it only to respond to you, administer your request, verify your identity where required, protect the Service, establish or defend legal claims, and comply with law. We do not send marketing communications.
If you visit the Website. Our Website is informational. Like most websites, our servers and hosting providers automatically record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps (“Website Technical Information”), which we use only to operate and secure the Website and diagnose problems. The Website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to operate it; we do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Because we do not sell or share personal information or track visitors across other sites, we do not respond to “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals.
6. How We Disclose Personal Information
We do not sell personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing. We disclose Inputs and Output to service providers as described in Section 3. We disclose Communications Information and Website Technical Information only:
-
to service providers that host the Website, provide email, security, or infrastructure services, or provide legal, accounting, or other professional services to us, who may use the information only to perform services for us;
-
to an Authorized Channel operator or your Organization, where you contact us about an issue relating to that channel or Organization and sharing is necessary to resolve it, and as otherwise described in the Terms;
-
in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy or insolvency; and
-
as we believe necessary to comply with law or legal process, enforce the Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Pareto Alpha, our Users, or others. Because we do not retain Inputs or Output, we are generally unable to produce them in response to such requests.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know whether we process personal information about you and to access a copy; to correct or delete it; to receive a portable copy; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To exercise these rights, email legal@paretoalphainference.com. Because we do not maintain accounts, we verify requests by matching the information you provide to the information we hold (for example, the email address from which you previously wrote to us). You may use an authorized agent if the agent can demonstrate authority to act for you, and you may appeal a denial by replying to our decision. As explained in Section 3, we cannot act on requests relating to Inputs or Output; please direct those to the Authorized Channel operator or your Organization.
California residents. In the preceding twelve months we have collected only the following categories of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act: identifiers (name, email address, IP address), professional information to the extent included in your communications, internet or other network activity information (Website Technical Information), and the contents of communications you send us. We collect this information directly from you or automatically from your browser, for the purposes described in Section 5, and disclose it only to the recipients described in Section 6. We do not sell or share personal information, do not collect sensitive personal information, and do not make inferences about individuals; the rights to opt out of sale or sharing and to limit use of sensitive personal information therefore do not apply. We retain information as described in Section 8. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83).
8. Retention and Security
Inputs and Output are retained after completion of the request for as long as necessary to provide the Service (Section 3). Aggregated Statistics are kept only in aggregated or de-identified form and may be retained indefinitely. Communications Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and thereafter as required by law or to establish or defend legal claims (for example, we retain arbitration opt-out records for the duration of our relationship plus the applicable limitations period). Website Technical Information is retained in server logs for as long as necessary to provide the Service. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, or isolate it from further processing if immediate deletion from backups is not possible.
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information and to give effect to the no-retention commitments in Section 3. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of any information; see Section 5.2 of the Terms.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and the Terms require Users to be at least 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at legal@paretoalphainference.com and we will delete it. The Terms also prohibit submitting personal information of children under 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent) to the Service.
10. International Processing; Third Parties
We are located in the United States and operate the Service from infrastructure in the United States. If you interact with us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. This Policy does not apply to Authorized Channel operators, model developers, or other third parties; we encourage you to review their privacy policies. Models made available through the Service may be developed by third parties and are subject to their license terms, but run on our hardware and do not receive Inputs or Output from us.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time and will revise the “Last Updated” date when we do. If we make material changes, we will post a prominent notice on the Website and, where practicable, through the Authorized Channels through which the Service is made available. Changes are effective upon publication unless otherwise stated.
